Puppet Playtime February 2024

Puppet Playtime February 2024

Join us for Puppet Playtime!

Puppet Playtime gives children aged 3 to 5 the opportunity to engage in a new experience of storytelling and puppetry. Each session features a popular children’s book, with an acclaimed WA performer presenting the story in their unique performance style.  This can include puppetry, musical accompaniment, object theatre, movement and dance, and more. The world of puppetry is vast, and attendees will learn about a new element of puppetry each month. Each session, children will craft a puppet designed by our talented puppetry professionals.

This month’s feature story is Ten Tiny Things by Meg McKinlay and Kyle Hughes-Odgers.

It was a red thing. It was a sparkly thing. It was a tiny, tiny thing.
Join Tessa and Zachary on an unexpected adventure when their ever-reliable machine breaks down. With brilliant illustrations, Ten Tiny Things is a lovely tale that gently encourages both children and adults to slow down and appreciate the journey over the destination.
