For over 40 years, Spare Parts Puppet Theatre has been a home for imagination, creativity and storytelling. A place where generations of families have made memories and delighted in the magic of theatre.
And now, we’re ready to begin our most exciting chapter yet: a new home for puppetry at the Claremont Showground.
In partnership with the Royal Agricultural Society of WA, Spare Parts Puppet Theatre will transform the Ellie Eaton Theatre and Pavilion into a place where we can create bold and ambitious theatre, support the careers of local artists and expand the impact of puppetry as an artform across Western Australia and beyond.
We’ve received funding from the Western Australian Government and Lotterywest to bring our vision to life. But it’s our community of friends, families and supporters who will make this theatre a home.
All donations to Spare Parts Puppet Theatre from today, will directly support the refurbishment of Ellie Eaton Theatre and Pavilion. And be matched dollar for dollar thanks to funding from Creative Australia!
Every donation, no matter the size, will have a big impact. Over the next 10 years more than 500,000 children and families will experience the magic of puppetry. 1,000 artists will be trained. And we’ll create 1,900 employment opportunities for local arts workers.
