Since its launch, Puppet Playtime has delighted families by blending puppetry, storytelling, and hands-on creativity to inspire young imaginations and create cherished memories in a relaxed, playful environment.
What’s New for 2026?
The 2026 program is here to offer even more magic for your little ones, running from February to November. Here’s what to expect:
- Sessions across five days a month including two Saturdays
- Four sessions per day: 9:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm.
- Each session runs for 60 minutes.
- Location: All sessions are held at Spare Parts Puppet Theatre in Fremantle.
- Budget-friendly tickets: Just $12 per child, with accompanying adults attending FREE of charge.

Each month, we bring a different iconic picture book to life through the magic of puppetry and interactive storytelling. Here is the full 2026 lineup:

What is Puppet Playtime?
Puppet Playtime is an interactive experience specially crafted for children aged 3 to 5. Designed to nurture their creativity and love for storytelling, each session brings a beloved children’s book to life through the art of puppetry.
Through puppetry and play, young participants are encouraged to explore their creativity, develop curiosity, and foster collaboration. The hands-on activities and engaging storytelling inspire a lifelong love of learning and an appreciation for the arts.
