About Spare Parts Puppet Theatre

Spare Parts Puppet Theatre is the longest running theatre company in Western Australia. Established in 1981, we are 43 years old in 2024. Spare Parts Puppet Theatre creates original Australian puppet theatre works for family audiences, with an appeal to people of all ages.

Spare Parts Puppet Theatre is a leader in training and artist development nationally, and runs various creative learning and community engagement programs, spending approximately 4-5 months on the road each year in Western Australian schools, venues and community organisations across the state.

Spare Parts Puppet Theatre is in an important phase of its history, with a significant capital works and relocation project underway – with $3.8mil committed by Treasury to facilitate the move. Now is an amazing time to come on board and be part of securing Spare Parts Puppet Theatre’s future for the next 40 years.
