The Award-Winning Beanstalk Heads on National Tour

5 August, 2025

Spare Parts Puppet Theatre is heading across the country with Beanstalk, a clever and funny twist on a classic tale.

After a fun-filled run at our Claremont theatre in July, Beanstalk is heading out on a 14-week national tour. Families across Australia will get the chance to hear the giant’s side of the story and spend some time in her not-so-ordinary kitchen in the sky.

Originally created in 2021 and winner of Best Mainstage Production at the 2021 Performing Arts WA Awards, Beanstalk is the hilarious retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk told from the giant’s point of view. Step into Sue’s cloud-making kitchen where she cooks up carrots, fluffy clouds and a few stories from her not-so-easy life as a giant.

With Charlotte Otton performing, the show is full of surprises, laugh-out-loud moments and just the right amount of mischief.
