School Season

School Excursion Program

For many of our audience members, we are their first live performing arts experience, and we understand the important role that creative experiences play in the educational and emotional development of young people.

A Spare Parts experience is a wonderful way to nurture young people’s skills in empathy, relationship building, resilience, creative thinking, and storytelling, whilst also being a great way to connect with each other and create memorable experiences.

Spare Parts aims to create experiences that compliment and enhances the teaching process, while finding meaningful ways to link to the curriculum

Our performances encourage students to respond, examine and interpret the text, exploring meaningful ways to connect with the story and the art form and address many general capabilities including Literacy, Critical and Creative Thinking, Personal and Social Capability, Ethical Understanding, and Intercultural Understanding.

Extensive and detailed Teachers’ Notes are distributed with each booking. These include classroom activities and learning tools that have been developed by teachers, for teachers.

You can find our previous Teacher Resource Kits here.

“The teacher resources are particularly excellent and thorough. I will definitely keep the pack for ideas in other learning areas.”
– Teacher, Bicton Primary School
