Spare Parts joins forces with UWA and Hawaiian

1 August, 2023

Spare Parts is excited to announce two new partnerships!

Our partnership with The University of Western Australia School of Engineering will utilise cutting edge 3D printing technology to create high quality training puppets and achieve world leading training standards in puppetry for Western Australian artists.

At Hawaiian, their mission is to support and provide opportunity for the young people in WA. They believe in giving back to help create a stronger future for all, and to provide exciting opportunities for the next generation of leaders. Spare Parts is thrilled to be part of their SmartSparks School Program in 2023, that will see us perform our acclaimed puppetry theatre performance Blueback in seven schools in their communities.

Thank you to The University of Western Australia and Hawaiian for partnering with Spare Parts to achieve our vision of being an International Centre for Excellence in Puppetry and share the joy of live performance with many more in our community.

Acknowledgement of Country

Spare Parts Puppet Theatre respectfully acknowledges the Whadjuk Noongar people as the traditional owners and custodians of the unceded land on which we work. As we tour our work across these vast lands, we pay our respect to all First Nations elders, past and present. We celebrate their continuing connection and contribution to culture, country and community, and thank all First Nations peoples for their wisdom in caring for the land, the sky, the rivers and the sea.
